Barça to Host First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years after they moved out for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees can be present based on approved permits. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch on 7 November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side next month at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
