Homages Continue for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the couple.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt able to post publicly about his profound loss.

"Enough time has passed that I can now express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began passing more hours together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the film, adding that he cannot recall "one day without mirth".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a different piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles judge ruled to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate issued a security hold on the files to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a public database citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the killings, public individuals shared varying reactions.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering divisive remarks that were met with immediate backlash by numerous commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the those speaking out last week. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan labeled the comments as "disturbing" and implied they revealed a concerning lack of empathy.

Rogan finished by proposing that an aide could have stepped in when the decision to weigh in on the passing was made.
